Music Museum Day

The most exciting part of today was touring the MSU music museum. Until the past century, people had to attend a live performance in order to experience music. The invention of the Edison victors and music boxes brought music to wealthy people in their homes. This invention has paved the way for digital music as we know it today.
After touring the museum, we did a kinesthetic activity that would have been perfect to use when teaching middle school science. The activity helps students remember that Earth tilts at 23.5 degrees and will help students understand why we experience seasons on Earth.
I was also schooled on shortcuts using PowerPoint. I have also been schooled on using Google maps and Google Earth.
Another after lunch activity that I enjoyed was the poetry activity. This will help students learn key phrases in biology and will hopefully help engage learners that are not the best readers.
